Abortion Access Front is devastated to learn of the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, long-serving feminist hero of the Supreme Court. The true progressive lion of the Supreme Court, Ginsburg’s contributions to making America a more perfect union will not soon be forgotten, and her opinions on equal protection, abortion, LGBTQ rights, voting rights, immigrant rights, and more — and sometimes her dissents — provide a road map for all in America who fight for justice for all.

If you literally yelped in the grocery store when you read the news like some of us did, it’s probably because you know that, in some way, Justice Ginsburg’s life made your life better.

As AAF founder Lizz Winstead said, “RBG got their boots off our necks. And out of our vaginas. we owe it to her to do everything we can to make sure those boots NEVER end up there again.”

AAF will forever remember how tirelessly Justice Ginsburg worked for equality, reproductive rights and all other forms of justice. All of us who know the daily stress of the fight for abortion access must redouble our efforts to fight like hell, that the work she started may continue and flourish. Especially at this particular moment in American history.

But tonight, we cry together, and we hold space for each other.AAF offers its deepest condolences to Justice Ginsburg’s family and friends, and extends its hand to all who mourn her tonight.
