Abortion Access Front (AAF) is bringing their amazing brand of art and activism to the world, virtually, with “Do Re #MeToo” an unforgettable evening of music and comedy featuring an extravaganza of incredible feminists performing some of the most horribly sexist songs ever written.
Do Re #MeToo is a fun and powerful evening that reminds folks just how pervasive sexism and misogyny is in our culture, and how these messages negatively define the role women and femmes in society. This power line-up of women and non-binary musicians will cover some of the “classic hits” with all the irony they so richly deserve. What better way to get folks dancing and inspired to fight back against all the sexism, than with righteous performers burning it all down!
This virtual concert is hosted by Lizz Winstead (AAF founder and co-creator of The Daily Show), and features Margaret Cho, Peppermint (RuPaul’s Drag Race, Broadway’s Head Over Heels), Tony Winner Laura Benanti (Gypsy, Into the Woods), Kathy Valentine (The Go-Go’s), Veruca Salt, Bethany Thomas, Laura Jane Grace (Against Me!), Ambrosia Parsley, Holly Miranda, Jackie Venson, Sally Timms (The Mekons), Jill Hopkins-Olewnik (Making Beyoncé podcast)
AAF is also hosting a pre-show VIP cocktail party hosted by Michelle Buteau. For more information about the cocktail party click here.
