You better check your pro-life self before you wreck your pro-life self, and everyone else…
Here are some facts (I know, ughhh, gross):
*North Carolina’s law imposing a 72-hour waiting period to have an abortion went into effect the same day as the shooting in Oregon. North Carolina doesn’t have a waiting period to buy a gun.
*28 states require a waiting period ranging from 24 to 72 hours to obtain an abortion. 9 require any waiting period at all to purchase a gun.
*There are 35 states that require so-called “abortion counseling” before a procedure, 6 require any form of training or certification courses to purchase a gun.
*In Wisconsin, a 14 year old can carry a gun to hunt without a guardian. In 20 states a girl under 18 must have the legal consent from a parent to obtain an abortion.
*In Texas women must legally wait 24 hours to get an an abortion but because of all the clinic shutdowns the average woman waits ten days if they can get one at all. There is no wait period to get a gun.
Every day in the U.S. an average of 289 people are shot. Eighty-six of them die. Meanwhile Unsafe abortions kill 47,000 women annually around the world. In the US guns kill 2.3 out of every 100,000 women.
Maybe pro-life means killing women?!?!?!
It sounds like a crazy point to make. But is it really?! If you support guns, knowing that they kill people, and are against abortions, knowing that women die when they don’t have access to safe abortion care, then we can only assume you like women dying? Tell me no.
