Roe didn’t fix everything! We love Roe v. Wade and what it meant for so many pregnant people these last 45 years (Happy Anniversary) but it was NOT perfect. It was a decision that didn't foresee the many ways legislators could make laws that removes access to abortion without having to overturn the ruling. So the best way to honor Roe today is to fight against all the bullshit TRAP laws that keep being created, all the unconstitutional laws that keep get passed by states every week, and by exposing all the lying liars trying to deny pregnant people basic healthcare.

Oh no, my tiny woman brain can’t read this article must, must ask the oldass politician for advice…. Wahhhh wahhhh!  Oh wait, I’m actually a fully functioning adult who can make her own decisions and knows what’s best for her body! Turns out, a lot of people who hate abortion want to hatesplain to you because they actually believe they know more about abortion than you do. But, let’s be very clear, these fools couldn’t find a uterus if it was staring them directly in the eye and telling them, “Hey, once again, I know what’s best for me.”

And while the hatesplainers keep trying to insist “No, in fact *I* know more about abortion because I read that one article once,” here’s an actual fact that we’ll explain real simply so they can understand: studies show that when pregnant people are denied abortion they are more likely to experience poverty. Hmmm… seems like we actually have always been right that abortion and economic freedom go hand in hand.

Look, here at LPJL we would never call someone who actively works to make sure pregnant people don’t have access to healthcare “pro-life.” We’d call them Uterus Stormtroopers, Vagina-Controlling Orcs, Obsessive Uterine Creeps, or just plain Anti-Choicers. And on this special anniversary The Guardian lays out exactly why this “pro-life” terminology is so dangerous and false! Let’s vow to not say it again in 2018!

Remember how last week the HHS insisted that doctors who didn’t want to help their patients because their “morals” didn’t coincide with saving lives were gonna be protected in a new Discrimination Department? And then remember how Fake Clinics insist that they are full of nice kind-hearted people who just want to help?  Well guess what, it’s not being NICE if you’re forcing your opinions down someone else’s throat. And you’re especially not being “nice” if you torture people every day outside of clinics, violently.

***FAKE CLINIC ALERT*** Florida is about to sign into law legislation that says the state has to contract with fake clinics. Let this be a reminder: fake clinics are not little getting by on their bootstraps organizations. They are big, organized, and powerful. And their biggest mission is to shame pregnant people out of getting abortions. #ExposeFakeClinics.
