Because they evidently have nothing else they should be doing, the Senate this week took up a bill to ban abortions after 20 weeks. It failed, but only because the Senate requires a 60-vote threshold. It’s the kind of election year stunt the conservos pull to energize their uterus-bashing base, but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t light a righteous fire under your ass.

Um, could this be WHY you have an infant mortality problem? As Rewire reports, the state of INDIANA is responding to their disturbingly high infant mortality numbers by steering people to FAKE clinics that literally exist to spread misinformation. Yeah. That should work.

TEXAS has to back off the creepy meter just a tad. A judge has temporarily blocked a Texas law that requires burial or cremation for fetal remains because it places “significant burdens on abortion access.” He didn’t mention that it’s cynical, sinister, and ghoulish.

The ayatollahs in the SOUTH CAROLINA legislature are giving everyone a free peek at where this nightmare is headed if we don’t do something. A new “personhood” bill would effectively fucking flat-out make abortion illegal. Doctors are worried about the effects of the legislation… maybe because it has, you know, no scientific basis in reality!
