Right-wing protests these days seem to incorporate everything… except an awareness of irony. Conservative nutcases in Tennessee recently became worried that Common Core was teaching their kids how to become lil’ Muslims because… well, because it’s Tennessee. The actual protesters managed to incorporate same-sex marriage, Black Lives Matter, and Planned Parenthood into their batshit-list.
But the best part was a guy who brought a sign saying “All lives matter–even the not yet born”… and a handgun. And of course, he stood next to a woman with a sign showing a pistol pointing at a pregnant woman’s belly. She’s evidently protesting handgun-induced abortions, which I think are pretty much universally opposed. The lesson here: when trying to make a point, don’t shoot yourself in the fetus.
