To the Unknown Zygote! TENNESSEE lawmakers want to erect a monument to the “victims of abortion” at the state capitol alongside memorials to victims of slavery and the Holocaust. Really, check it out! Sounds like some folks are still smarting over being told to shove their Confederate monuments.

IOWA takes a step back from the edge of insanity. A “fetal heartbeat” bill that would have banned abortions as early as SIX WEEKS has been canned… for now. Guess they realized it’d cost the state too much in legal fees when it was ruled OBVIOUSLY unconstitutional!

It’s about CHOICE, assholes! A pregnant immigrant teen in the middle of a legal battle over the Trumpistas attempts to deny reproductive rights to detained minors has evidently told a judge she doesn’t want an abortion. If that’s her choice, then her choice is all that matters. But good on the judge for ribbing Scott Lloyd for all his trickery in this whole process. It should just be about HER DECISION, not his politics.

Here’s a novel idea—let’s pass PRO-CHOICE bills in the states! That’s what RHODE ISLAND is doing, as explained in this piece from Rewire. We need laws on the books explicitly making abortion legal in the states in case Roe v Wade is overturned. This is why blue state activism is just as important as kicking ass in Alabama!
