Screen Shot 2016-03-14 at 12.23.48 PM“What’s your body made for?” According to ABC and NBC, for a lot of women the answer is “not for prime time.”

The question is posed in a new television ad from Lane Bryant meant to celebrate women’s bodies of all shapes and sizes. The ad–part of the THIS BODY campaign–features models Ashley Graham (the latest Sports Illustrated covergirl), Tara Lynn, Denise Bidot and Georgia Pratt in the brand's underwear. It includes a shot of new mother Tara Lynn breastfeeding her baby.

Nudity-wise, there is nothing in this ad that you haven’t already seen in a Victoria’s Secret ad (minus the windblown hair and shots of high-heeled models in lingerie strutting down marble-lined corridors.)

Still, both ABC and NBC rejected the ad, with NBC saying they “asked for minor edits to comply with broadcast indecency guidelines.” Somehow it seems a lot easier for traditional models to meet “indecency guidelines.”

But as Lane Bryant said in a statement, “The THIS BODY campaign was meant to be a fun way for us to celebrate and honor women of all shapes and sizes.”

Lady Parts Justice League says don’t let anyone tell you what you can do with your body–and that includes telling you how you should feel about it.
