Well y’all, while we were pounding a pint of ice cream and watching The Bold Type finale last night, our BOSS, the inimitable Lizz Winstead, was helping some badass ladies raise mad MONEY for abortion rights.  Look, we’re forever in awe of her, and obvs a little jealous we couldn’t make it. So this Friday we wanted to keep the love going (New York just made a pledge to FUND ABORTIONS Y’ALL we’re feeling the lovee), by highlighting three of the amazing reproductive justice heroes who spoke last night at the event!

First up Oriaku Njoku, the Executive Director of Access Reproductive Care-Southeast (ARC-Southeast). To learn more about Oriaku watch this great Now This video of her talking about reproductive justice!

We also had the great Monica Simpson, Executive Director of SisterSong. If y’all are not already following the great work of Sistersong, where the eff have you BEEN? Follow Monica on twitter HERE. Read everything she’s written for Rewire, but start with her newest piece. “To ensure the health and safety of women of color, I urge you to address the formidable barriers that prevent us from getting the care we need, deny our decisions, and lead to shameful disparities.”

And finally we had the fantastic Kwajelyn Jackson, Executive Director of Feminist Women’s Health Center in Atlanta! Follow her on Twitter here! And also Kwajelyn was generous enough to answer some questions for us about reproductive justice here!

And you know what, let’s keep the love going and DONATE HERE!

We’re feeling very hopeful this Friday! So go off and escort this weekend!
